About Peggy Fletcher
A native of Vancouver Island, Peggy Fletcher is an avid hiker and lover of nature and Vancouver Island landscapes are her favourite subjects to paint. Whether walking her dog in Mt. Douglas Park, skiing at Mt. Washington or hiking on an oceanside trail Peggy is always on the lookout and can always find beautiful scenes of nature close to home. Oil on canvas is her preferred medium and arbutus trees are her most popular subject.
Peggy is a retired a physiotherapist, a mother of three and an artist at heart. She has been drawing and painting since childhood and has supplemented her mostly self-taught knowledge and high school art education with continuing education courses at Camosun College, the University of Victoria and the Victoria College of Art.
She has been an artist participant at the 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016. 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023 Moss Street Paint-ins and has had her paintings exhibited at the Tea House at Abkhazi Gardens, Coast Collective Art Gallery, Saanich Municipal Hall, the Eclectic Gallery on Oak Bay Avenue and the 2014 and 2016 Sidney Fine Art Shows.
